Are my files completely safe on ZEROFAIL’s servers?
|
| Yes. Data security was our first consideration in designing the system architecture. Our comprehensive Online Backup solution includes daily backup of all your designated data. Your data is actually made doubly secure since we backup all data at our primary datacenter to a second facility to guarantee a higher level of security and redundancy. All data is 256-bit encrypted and compressed before being uploaded to Online Backup through a secure SSL channel. Encryption and decryption will only be performed on your machine with your password and it will not be transmitted during uploading or downloading.
Our data centers are some of the most physically and logistically secure infrastructures in the industry. Our main facility was originally built as a treatment center for a major bank. The building is completely self-sustained and operates flawlessly through month-long power outages and Tier1 internet provider failures. We have a second, fully independent datacenter in downtown Montreal that provides an additional layer of redundancy. Employing a Defense in Depth strategy, our datacenters are redundantly protected by restricted access cards, biometric scanners, live cameras, security personnel, monitored alarm system, authorization protocols and fire suppression systems. All of this is included in your flat monthly fee.

What if I require support?

| Online Backup is automated, ultra-reliable, intuitive and very easy to use. With a straightforward initial setup, most of our customers never require support. But if you ever do need some assistance, we're here for you. Your Online Backup subscription includes unlimited technical and customer support by telephone and email from 8:30AM to 5:30PM EST. After hours support can be obtained via email or our 911 Level 1 Technical Support service.

What about data ownership? What happens if I cancel my Online Backup service?
|
| Though we protect and backup your information and files, you always remain the sole owner of your data. You can cancel your contract at anytime by providing us 90-days written notice. We will give you the continued support and unrestricted access you need to facilitate the transfer of your data. Once you confirm that the transfer is complete we will delete it from our system.

Is it complicated to use Online Backup?
|
| No. Online Backup uses a very straightforward and user friendly interface and it is extremely easy to use... even if you are a novice to computing and the Web. If you can log on to the Internet and use your mouse to point and click, then you're ready for Online Backup.

How much storage can I get?

| As much as you need. Our minimum service starts at 15GB and you can add each additional GB of storage for only $0.50 per month.

What kind of data can I store?
|
| Any kind of data and files that can normally be stored in a computer or server; from Word documents and Excel spreadsheets to music & videos, to Oracle or SQL Databases, you can protect all the data you possess.

What if I have very little bandwidth and a lot of data?
|
| A lot of businesses and individuals with your situation have very little upload capacity (more or less 600 Kbps). They usually send us an external USB hard drive for the first backup, through priority courier, for their first remote backup.
